Introducing ‘Camille Tries to Blog’ for May!

Introducing Camille from ‘Camille Tries to Blog‘, our fancy pants blogger for May!

Having recently joined the Kini family as our May blogger, Camille has designed two pieces of swimwear (‘Green with Envy’ and ‘Tied up in Checks’).  Her designs speak for themselves and show off two different styles of swimwear.

‘Green with Envy’ features an emerald green racer top with monochrome striped detailing with hip buckle sides/skinny style bottoms.  Green with Envy is all about being confident and strong – rather than opting for a more classic style of bikini, the girl who wears this wants to stand out from a crowd, be noticed and noted for being just a little bit left of centre.  This Kini would go well with a leather style black cap or your favourite basketball team’s snap back cap, and black thongs, or as our American friends like to call them – flip-flops.

Tied up in Checks‘ uses pastel hues of blue and pink applied to our underwire 1950’s style halter top and side tie skinny bottoms.  This design is really feminine and plays with baby blues and pinks – we can’t help but think of a yummy strawberry and blueberry ice-cream! The girl who wears this is girly and feminine – in a classic way.  Camille’s design would go nicely with an oversized sun hat (in white), a large ice-cream in a cone, and cute pair of summer sandals. Screen Shot 2015-03-30 at 12.17.32 PMCamille is no stranger to fashion design having studied it after completing her first degree. She has also started her own label (Coexist) which is a clothing line that caters to the young and fashion savvy women of today–becoming one of the most promising young designers in her home country – the Philippines.

Camille’s ‘Coexist’ designs have been recognised in some of the Philippines top fashion magazines like ‘Metro’, ‘Mega’ and ‘Preview’.  She has even been included in the annual designers to watch in 2010 for ‘Preview’ Magazine.  No wonder we are drooling over her two designs.

Camille is lucky enough to have travelled all over the world – we are especially jealous of those beautiful tropical locations scattered throughout her blog and instagram account (@itscamilleco).

Stay tuned for more of our May blogger Camille from ‘Camille Tries to Blog’….
