I Am Sports Luxe, Hear Me Roar: Lion Lion Bazaar X Kini Swimwear

Here at Kini Swimwear we are super excited to unveil our two new gorgeous designs created by stylish blogging duo Teresa Vu and Bronte Mccallum from Lion Lion Bazaar. The feisty fashion blog is a bible to many Melbournians, as it charts the girls’ adventures in life and fashion.

We love their daring fashion forward choices, so we were excited to collaborate with Teresa and Bronte to see what they would come up with when faced with the infinite choices that Kini offers. We love being able to offer you the tools to create swimwear that is fashionable, functional and most importantly, totally individual and Lion Lion Bazaar did not disappoint, as both the girls created beautiful bespoke pieces which screamed personal style.

Rocking the hottest trend of this summer, sports luxe, Teresa and Bronte both designed stand out swimwear that will turn heads everywhere on the beach.

Teresa went for a classic and elegant piece using our new bralette, a fresh take on the classic triangle shape, which comes with removable soft sponge cups for a flattering fit. Teresa admitted she has had to bulldog clip her bikini tops in the past, due to ill fits and being unable to find a top that fits her back and cup size, but she has found a winner with this beautiful bralette.

This set is a perfect piece for pear shaped ladies, like Teresa, as the bralette top detail emphasizes your top half and the cheeky skinny pants sit lower on the hips, which is a great line to emphasize your natural curves. The skinny pant is also a natural choice for the sports luxe trend, as they are lightweight and won’t restrict any activity on the beach!

The colours that Teresa has chosen, sticking to a spectrum of greys, blacks and white, are timeless and elegant, which was important to Teresa as she wanted to ensure she wouldn’t be sick of her set come next summer!

The block colour black bottoms not only tie in to the sports luxe theme, they are also a clever choice for Teresa’s figure. The light colours of the bralette emphasize her top half, whilst the pants draw attention away from her hips, a perfect style example for pears.

Teresa’s gorgeous Silver Fox design is available here to purchase as a ready made set!

The other half of Lion Lion Bazaar, the gorgeous Bronte, also designed a stunning sports luxe inspired two piece for Kini, opting for a stylish twist on the sporty trend.

Bronte has selected our newest piece, the racer top, for her design, one of our hottest styles that was inspired by the athletic swim trend. The sporty cut away shape is so fashionable for this season it has already been showcased by fashion forward figures from Amanda Bisk to Jessie Grace.

With her athletic body shape, the racer top works perfectly on Bronte, as the cut out halter top and lower waist line helps to break up the rectangular appearance often attributed to the athletic shape. The racer should be a natural choice for athletic girls, just take a look at how amazing Bronte looks in hers if you need convincing, but it is not limited to this shape! Take a look at our guide on rocking the racer whatever your shape if you need some advice on wearing summer’s staple piece.

The racer goes hand in hand with sports luxe fashion, but we are loving the way that Bronte has chosen to customise her two piece, giving it a more stylish edge. She told us she chose a leopard print because ‘obviously, that’s necessary’, and what more would you expect from the co-founder of Lion Lion Bazaar?

Teamed with a fedora, Bronte rocks her racer with a fashionable print and creates a bold new statement for the racer. Leopard print is a hot trend amongst Melbourne’s fashion elite this season, and we have seen some beautifully feisty pieces from See Want Shop and Melbourne Girl.
